Life is better with a side of Fries!

Why I don't think I could have said it better myself....

I don't know when I tasted it for the first time, I am sure it was years ago but their is something about the crunch of Andy Capp's Fries.

Hot Fries, Cheddar Fries or Hot Chili Cheese Steak Fries. I love to crack open the bag and reach inside for a handfull or 4 of this corn potato snack..............

Lifes Moments

Life is busy... I get up in the morning after hitting snooze two or three times, jump in the shower for 15 minutes or so and then head to my kid’s rooms to get them up and moving. Depending on the day whatever they find to put on is ok, if not it turns into a 20 minute discussion about why the button up shirt with a sweater vest is not a good chose for an 80 degree day. Off to work I go for 9 ½ hours of phone calls, problem solving and supervising. When the work day ends its home I go to cook dinner, coach the kids through homework or just get in a little QT in; providing it isn’t sports season. Bed time snacks, baths and showers and off to bed they go. If I am lucky I might get 30 minutes or so of “me” time and then off to bed to start all over again tomorrow. Every once in a while in the middle of all this commotion I catch a glimpse of my boys doing something that makes me step back, slow down and savor the moment. Those little moments that you will never get back, like when I ask my youngest how he got to be so cute and he says “I got my freckles from you” or when I look out the window at my 8 year old weeding the garden or picking up the yard without asking him to do it. Days, weeks, months and years go by so fast. I am sure our parents look back now and wonder were all the time went.
How one day you have a baby and a toddler
                                                                        a kindergartener
and then an 8 year old

It’s these little moments that remind me of how important it is to slow down.  The button up shirt with the sweater vest is ok if he thinks it is; the dishes after dinner can wait and if bed time gets pushed back because my son’s biggest inspiration has a horse racing in Florida at 9:30pm on a school night so be it……
